I am very ecclectic in music but when it comes to write a novel, I build an atmosphere with specific styles. For my current novel, I made a playlist with new discoveries such beautiful as Mélissa LAveaux, Lianne La Havas and many others. However, my eyes get brights when I heard for the first time Laura Mvula. I felt as if she was whispering in my ears a wonderful story, and there is this lyric atmosphere with a little bit of sadness in it. Her songs “Father,father” or “Sing to the moon” are delightful and meaningfull from this universe. I bought the album two days after that and couldn’t wait to listen to it.

Nevertheless, it seems to me that the album can’t be listen too many times, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and this is why this album is sometimes inequal. But, it’s really a meaningless detail when we realize that so much beauty is already in a first album. Keep going Laura ! I am happy to love a such singer who has the same name than me <3
